Obsession on cellphones

I was in a hurry to get to work yesterday. I was about to ride a cab then I realized that I forgot my mobile phone at home. It was a 6 min walk from where I was but I decided to go back and get my cellphone. I was even running late at that time.
While I was in the cab, I was thinking to myself that I do not really need my cellphone at work and if I need to check things at home, I can use the office phone.
I think we are becoming attached to our cellphones. I know some people who cannot think straight if they do not have their mobile phones with them. We might say that it is the best way to communicate with friends and family when we're outside our homes but i think we are so dependent on cellphones that it makes us feel that we cannot live without it anymore.
What do you think?

There are two things I can't live without; my cell and net. I never let my cell battery become low and everytime I have to go somewhere the very first thing I take with me is of course my cell. Frankly what would be life without it?? I would not be able to text and talk to my bf and friends, I would have to wear a watch which I hate, also I would have to take a notebook to write all my reminders and carry along a calendar! So yes I obsessed with my cellphone (",)

I'm with you on that subject. if I forget my phone at home I turnaround. It's my lifeline, my income & social life all in one. I feel as if I'm missing something if I don't have my cell phone. basically it has become a permanent fixture.
