Drinking water

Sometimes my Golden will drink excessive amounts of water at one time; even to the point of throwing up. Is this a symptom of something or should I not be concerned?

Just came across your discussion. How is your dog doing?
Our goldens drink excessive amounts of water when they are active. They do sometimes "choke" on the water if they are drinking it too fast.

Thank you stylist for your concern. My Golden seems to have grown out of that. He hasn't done it quite a while. He's a little over two years old now and his personality is really developing nicely. Still has a few bad habits though, but nothing too bad. Thanks for your post.

Hi. I'm new to myLot and just came across your post. I was wondering how your dog is doing? One thing I wanted to say is that if your dog is still drinking excessive water you may want to have he/ she tested for diabetes. Dogs can get this disease and one symptom is excessive water intake.
