We lost our gas cap awhile back and it's been costing us a fortune in lost gas. Today my spouse found a gas cap while he was walking home from the mini-market store down the block. He's been meaning to buy new gas cap, but money has been really tight lately. Finding a gas cap saved $15 to $20 and for us that's a really big deal! Everythings so expensive locally, it's nice to get a little break from the universe once in awhile. So, how about you? What did you get for free today? What's your best freebie for the week? Do you have any good freebies or links to free product samples that you would like to share?

I was down to zero sheets of toilet paper, and no money left ("end of the month syndrome, waiting for my next disability check), and lo' and behold, I got TWO giant rolls of toilet paper at the food bank two days ago. This saved me from having to constantly steal toilet paper everywhere I go. I guess this would have to be my best freebie of the week. Scary place to be in, out of toilet paper and no money. LOL

Scary situation, but cool freebie! It's those little things that mean so much. Just like the gas cap.

Oh my goodness, being out of toilet paper! I was like that when I was in college. I would steal toilet paper from the schools bathroom and put it in my back pack. Or use paper towels, ouch, that always hurt. if you are ever out of toilet paper, just pm and I'll send you some. That's one things we should all have.

Oh my that was luck at play! Finding the gas cap that actually worked for your car. My freebies are usually found at apartment complex dumpsters. I have retrieved a door mirror, an old ottoman, computer monitor (an older bulkier one), blinds, and a dresser all for free. I actually spent $1 on fabric at a yard sale to recoveer the ottoman. The computer monitor was sold for cash ($25) and the blinds and dresser are currenly being used!

One time I got a brand-new, still in plastic wrapping, nonstick skillet in a store dumpster, along with a LOT of individual Chips Ahoy cookie packs, still in their wrappers, just literally a day or two past their expiration dates. I totally hear you there.

Those are really good finds! And, the computer monitor for cash. That's a good one. I have several old computer monitors in my laundry room. Perhaps I will try to sell them instead of throwing them out. Thanks for the tip.

It wasn't this week, but several weeks ago we made out very well at our local pizza shop. We had scraped together everything we had to order one large pizza and an order of bread sticks for supper. We knew that it would barely be enough to feed everyone, but it was all that we could afford. When we got to the pizza shop to pick it up, they had accidentally made our order twice and told us that we could have the second order for free since they otherwise they didn't know what else to do with it. We gladly accepted, and went home with big smiles on our faces!

You are right, I think that they were watching out for us that day. It couldn't have happened at a better time, and it was very much appreciated. Thanks for the best response.

That is a good find! Good for your hubby. I wish I had luck like that. But I haven't had any freebies this week. Or in a while that I can think of. But I like to hear other people's stories.

That's pretty cool. I love when stuff like that happens. Today I got a dessert pizza and a 2 topping pizza free for ordering my pizza online! I'm starving, can't wait till it gets here.

That's an amazing deal! I used to be part of the Pizza Hut free pizza club and got one free pizza with minimum orders every month. It only cost $15 yearly. When my membership was up for renewal, I passed and have regretted it ever since! Especially since the local Pizza Hut offers Italian style foods, so now I am ordering stuff from them all the time. It's more like a regular restaurant that delivers. I miss my free pizza!
