I would like an equal partner in a relationship. A woman who knows when to take leadership in subjects where I am weak and to let me take decisions and support my decisions in other areas in which she might be less knowledgable than I am.

That's the way I feel a real relationship works. Thanks for responding.

I believe a woman can be submissive but still be confident in her place within the relationship. I absolutely know who I am but there can only be one leader in the household and relationship. If there are two leaders--both real and perceived---a power struggle will definitely ensue and the relationship will not be sustainable. That does not mean the woman has to sacrifice a career, higher education, etc. in order to be submissive. If you mean superficially submissive in that she is indecisive and always defers to the man for choices like where to eat, movies, discipline...then that is a different discussion ;)

I am meaning....the woman that must have her man make every decision for her, can't think on her own.

ah...I would suggest dubbing that type of woman "co-dependent" and yes, they are annoying! Just pick a place to eat already! For these people, I would suggest the 12 step program...start at a dinner menu and work our way up to more substantial decisions. I would think men would find these "co-dependents" incredibly boring eventually.

Speaking for my man...he likes that I am independent and know what I want in life. Says it makes life easier for him in the long run..lol

It always depends on the context. An appropriate mixture of the two will always render the greater endearment. But then again, I always like to have it both ways.
