Is season 5 the finale?

I have just finish watching Monk Season 5. And words can be seen on the screen that this is the finale. But till the end, I haven't seen anything like an end even no answer about Trudy's case. Is it the real finale? Is there more than 16 episodes in Season 5 and I actually haven't finish all in Season 5?

The sixth season of Monk debuted on July 13, 2007 at 9/8c in the United States. I just watched the third episode of season six. Season 5 does have 16 episodes.

The new season just started here in the U.S. I don't know how they do it, but each season just gets better and better.
I just saw this week that Monk has been nominated, again, for another Emmey.

The cast is impressive and every episode is worth watching again. I hope Monk wins the Emmy again, as each Friday my television is on in the summer. Its must see television.

We're a few eps into season six already and it still keeps getting better. In this one, Monk had to talk to Natalie's daughter, Julie, and it was really touching. I don't know if there will be more seasons after this one. We hope so. Both my husband and I really like the show.

i just bought season 6 in Itunes to put in my ipod. just finished two episodes and so far monk always great! love him :)
