My brother and I were reminiscincing about going to the candy store every weekend whenever we had 25 or 50 cents burning a hole in our pockets. This was back when you could get a good sizebag of penny candy for nexrt to nothing. He spent nearly all of his money on baseball cards and whined when I didn't give him any fire balls. My favorite penny candy was Pixie sticks though. What was yours?

My favorite penny candy was and still is black rope licorice. I love it, I know it costs more than a penny now but yum. My family does not like back licorice so when I buy some I have it all to myself. YUM

I liked those little wax bottles that were shaped like a pop bottle and it had one little squirt of flavored water in it. We would bite off the end drink the little flavored water and chew the wax like it was gum. They have brought them back now I see. Today I wouldn't eat them under any circumstances! LOL

Caramel squares were my favorite penny candy. The ones I used to get were Brock's. They would really "goo-up" your mouth. You can taste them for a long, long time. And if it's apple season, you can melt them and make caramal apples.
I get them for Halloween to give out to trick-or-treaters. We live on a backroad in a town where nobody knows us. So no one comes and I get to eat them all!
