I wondering, do you put your email address and phone number on your business card. I had a bunch made up and now I don't want to give any away because I don't want to get spam or prank calls. Am I paranoid or what?

Yes, I do, but the email address I write on it is not my personal email address, I use it for business and spam purposes, I know that if my email address is published I might receive a lot of spam but for business it's good that people have all the means necessary to contact me. Even with my cellphone, the number I use is not my personal line, we use it for the purpose of business, I answer that phone only during office hours, and since it's a cellphone, if it's a crank call and it's the same number calling again, I just dont' answer the call. So I think you should do the same if I'm not sounding too boastful or a know it all. but my best bet for your fear is that. use an email address and a contact number for your business card that you will use only for that purpose.

well yes why not, buisness card means you communication and so if you dnt have email address and mobile number in your visting card then what is the use of the card. if the person cannot contact you through your card then it is better not to use it.

I do put my e-mail Id on Business cards, that helps my client for ready reference to contact. I use this email ID exclusively for business purpose and keep my personal ID separate. I am using gmail which has a better spam protection than all the emails.

Hi I have 5,000 cards printed every month, All with my phone, mobile and email on plus an advert running everyday in the Manchester Eveniing News (newspaper) My phone numbers on promotional items such as cups, keyrings, coaster, t-shirts and banner and have never had any pramk call. I do get spam but no more than usual. I will all depend on what your business cards are if they are just personal contact details (not for business) the i suppose you will be contracted by people you dont want, But if its for business the best thing to do is get your name and contact details on everything you can. Even if you do get some wrong numbers while they are on the phone try selling to them I do and have had quite a bit of custom from wrong numbers
