You may have some of the oils on your clothing or something that touched the poison ivy has come in contact with your skin. You don't necessarily need to touch it directly for it to cause a rash.

Maybe it's not poison ivy since you haven't been in the garden. Maybe you were allergic to something you ate. Why are you going to the doctor until Friday? He needs to see you sooner so he can check you out what's wrong with your rash. Take care and I hope it's not something else. God bless you.

How the heck did you manage getting poison ivy on your stomach?? It didn't spread did it? I think I remember hearing that if you have poison ivy one place and touch it, then touch anohther part of your body you'll get a reaction too..is this possible??

For your information: Several years ago I was stationed in California, and there, we had a bad problem with Poison Oak. It was so bad that we had classes educating us about it. One thing we learned was that you didn't have to be anywhere near the stuff to be infected by it. It could be carried in SMOKE..from miles away,...and I would imagine it is the same with Poison Ivy.
A little known home remedy for PREVENTING the problem is..Tumeric, a common kitchen spice. While living in Missouri, I observed some of the locals putting a little Tumeric in a glass of water and drinking it like tea. With this practice, they never seemed to be affected by Poison Ivy.

Have you been rolling around in the poison ivy again? You really have to stop doing that! I think I need to send a keeper to watch over you. : )
