manuals. Ahh they do seem to be a tough trick. I am not an expert but with at least 13 car parking spaces under my belt I'd say im decent enough to try and help. Manuals are really hard to teach it is a combination of balance and focus. I like to focus on the front of my board and try to keep it from getting to high or to low. If you hear the tail scrape then try and lower the front a little bit. If you mess up just try again. Trying manuals for a while makes it easier. I spent several hours one day just trying to get a little bit farther everytime. I am a big fan of flatland and things Rodney Mullen style tricks so a manual was one I wanted to know. Also it helps to not try too hard. A manual is a trick that requires you to be relaxed and just go with it. If you try to hard you'll just get frustrated and then you'll bail everytime. Just keep trying and try listening to music if you want or watch a good skate video before you set out to try. Just to get you to get you pumped up. Hope it helps good luck!

The trick to manuals are you ahve to put your back foot on the tail and your front foot right under the nose preferably on the bolts. Do this and try to balance your weight. Keep on practicing and you'll eventually get it
PS. For me Its always easier to lean a bit forward than back
