I'm not sure what the point of the polar bear is except to drive home the point that the island doesn't conform to the laws of nature.

This series is starting to make me crazy. The whole world stops when it's on because I sit glued to the TV, hoping to read something between the lines. I actually never believed that they put a pacemaker in Sawyer's chest, I figured they were lying to him. But I think Kate was telling the truth when she said she loved him.

It should have been obvious that they were lying to him, considering that none of them are skilled surgeons (which I think may be the only reason why they kidnapped Jack), but I wasn't sure either way until the monitor passed 140.

Yeah, I was sure after they brought Jack in to do surgery and the lady Dr. couldn't help. Of course, we see things that they don't so it was understandable that Sawyer couldn't know. Still, silly as it was, I was disappointed that he couldn't figure it out.
