Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF)

I need to add some to my car very badly. On all my other cars, I have swiftly been able to determine where the dipstick for the trainy fluid is, but for the life of me cannot locate it on this car.It's a Mercury Topaz.It's near the back of the engine, right??What desperate car simplicities have boggled you in the past?
