Do you sometimes find yourself accidentally ignoring others when you are in your own train of thought? I tend to do this alot. I will be thinking deeply about something, then my husband talks to me, and all I hear is "Jennifer, did you hear me?!?" I don't mean to do it, I just am in such deep thought, I cannot hear others sometimes. How about you? Do you sometimes find yourself ingoring others accidentally when you are in your deep thoughts? Tell all!

Hello! Manytimes it happens with me too that people arround me keep talking to me & I would be in some other world, thinking deeply on something. Recently few days back my mom gave me a bottle filled with water to keep it in freezer. I was so involved in my thinking that I took that bottle in my hands & went into my bedroom. My mom was watching me & she shouted at me that where I am carrying the bottle to. Then, I realized the bottle in my hands & I kept it into freezer lol!...vani^_^

I've heard it called "selective hearing" and yes, I am guilty. If I am watching a TV show that I am really into, I won't hear you if you are talking to me.

Hi Jennifer, I actually do this all the time. I get very caught up in what I am thinking about and basically block out everything around me. This of course has its benefits as it lets you concentrate heavily on something. However, it does have drawbacks as well as you become oblivious to other things and you end up driving those people around you crazy. :) cheers,
