Thinking about getting a tattoo

My hubby and I were discussing this afternoon about getting tattoos. He really wants me to get a butterfly or something like that but I'm not a big butterfly person. I'm not sure what I should get. I want something that I will want in the future when I'm older and not something stupid like a shroom that I will regret getting.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Honestly onecutehoneybear the only person that can decide what to put on your body permanently is you. It is also a good idea as you said to pick something that you will want in the future. With that being said if you have a child(ren) you could get something to symbolize them, or something that has another special meaning to you. I have seven tattoos and I don't regret any of them. I want to get a new one here pretty soon of a teddy bear holding a rose with my daughters name and birthdate on it. Hope I have helped! Take Care!

Honestly I started out with a small one and I would agree that they are VERY addictive.Look at me, I have 7 and I'm still not done lol. If you are looking for a small one I would suggest going to the tattoo shop, see what kind of small ones they have, and go from there! Good luck!

Thats a cute idea. I just want a small one, though they say once you get one you want more, I'll have to see.
A friend of mine just got all her boy's names tattooed in the middl of a sun on her back, its really cute but too big for me.

The only person that can decide what you want to get is you. If you go into a tattoo shop and ask that question, they'll run you right out the front door. Is there anyhitng you are passionate about?, a hobby or something. If you have kids, you could get portraits done. Plus, if this is the first tattoo for you both, do some research into shops and artists in your area. You should check out www.inkednation.com ...tons of artists on there and you can check out their work plus you can do a shop search based on zip code. www.tattoojohnny.com is also a good site with all different kinds of tattoo designs that you can download for a small fee. Thanks for the websites. :) I'm not really into a whole lot and for my first tatoo, I don't think I could get a portrait of my daughter...even though it is a cool idea. I just want something small.

I have a couple of tattoos and they all have very important meaning for me. I have a celtic rebirth butterfly that I got when I wanted to change everything and my sons name and the celtic symbol motherhood, I don't think I'll every regret any of them. So try to get some thing with alot of meaning for you not your husband.
