When I was a child,I dreamed of becoming a teacher someday and help children learn and be responsible citizens. I have a teacher that I admired so much, he was the best teacher that I ever had, he was my grade six teacher and by far he was the best for me even when I reached college he is still by far the best. The sad thing I studied psychology and finished my professional education but ended working as customer service ooficer and being nagged and shouted at by subscribers.LOL I am not giving up on my dream to become a teacher someday.I want to pursue and study special education and I am going to do it. So God please help me.

It sounds like you have excellent plans. I imagine you will succeed in them very highly. : ) When I was a child I wanted to be a wife and mother, but I also wanted to be a news anchor on TV. Of course, as I grew older I gave up the news anchor dream. I'm single, but I hope to make the other half of my dreams come true someday. Just not today. : )

I agree with kimyat we just have to wait for the one who is really meant for each of us and certainly that person will come in the right time and place. Have a nice day.

It was once one of my wildest dreams when I was young, I know I could never be some wonder woman or cat woman, but I know for sure you are already someone's hero, you already saved someone's heart and have her from permanent heart ache.LOL have a nice day.

As a child, I always planned to be in the entertainment business but I also told God that I wanted to do everything and I seemed to have done quite a bit over the years. I still intend to be in the entertainment business but more in the background as a writer and producer.

Don't say never! All you need to do is take some English classes (speaking classes with someone who is trained in America so you can get the way we speak) and take some English writing classes. What you really need is grammar and phoenetic classes because you write as you speak, which is fine in the Philippines but if you want to write for American audiences, you need to learn the order in which we write and speak. You communicate fairly well but in order to write in English, you need to take some courses. And, I would suggest getting some novels on tape/cd and listen carefully to the way the reader speaks. Once you've listened to them, then you need to record yourself saying what you believe you heard. Then play back the recording of what you said and listen to it, then listen to the novel again. Listen carefully to the way you order your words versus how the speaker orders their words. Pay careful attention and then re-record yourself saying what they said again. Keep doing that until you get an understanding of how Americans speak. They may have grammar teachings out on CD/tape that you can get. If you really want to be a writer, then set yourself some goals and do so. Now, if you want to write for the Philippine audience, then take some language/writing classes for that. The only reason I suggest English is that it will sell more than things written in the Philippine language. But don't give up on your dreams. Set yourself some goals and go after it.

At different ages, I wanted to be different things. One thing I wanted to be was a veterinarian. Although I never became one, I still love animals and have done a lot of volunteer work with them. I have taken them in and nursed them back to health when possible.

I didn't have any specific dream about what I would do when growing up when I was little. I was at a loss what to do when I was still very young. But after I went to normal unversity, my aim seemed to be clear because of my major in education. But I am happy with my major and occupation as a teacher. Sometimes you don't know what you will have to do until when you are old enough. I hope that your dream to be a teacher will come true. It is a very pleasant thing to be with the students. They always make you feel young even if you reach middle age even old age. You will always stay young in the heart with the students because of the young thought that they bring you. Thanks for sharing.

Thats i like about teaching, you stay young and with the company of young people. I dint know why I ended up working here. Maybe God has a purpose of allowing me to have this experience, though this expereince has taught me to be a better person in the end.

It is ok if you are happy with your present job. You don't really need to have students in a classroom. You can still be and I think that you are a teacher in your life and your work to someone who knows less than you. Have you ever thought that you are teaching people about what you have experienced? You have, right? Then you are engaged in teaching in this sense. Happy for that to be teacher in life and work? Yes! That's right. You have done that! Your dream has come true then!

I used to want to be a teacher at first. I used to teach my cats and dolls. lol Then I wanted to be a singer or an actress. Those dreams fell by the wayside, and I'm now an Administrative Assistant, not a happy one at the present, either.

Administartive assistant sounds more impressive than bieng a teacher than being a singer or an actress. Though you may be not happy with work but at least you have a good job.

when i was younger, i wanted to be in the navy or the air force. i always looked up to my uncles and cousins who were in the service. however, my paternal grandmother discouraged me from entering the military academy. my parents on the other hand, wanted me to go to medical school but because i was allergic to chemicals, i ended up in business school. now, i teach in one of the universities here in our city and i am also an entrepreneur. do i have regrets? well, none...

Wow, sometime dreams are dictated by people around us, and when we see that they are ok in that area there is this influence that is so powerful we eneded up becoming like them. But once we grow up its a nice feeling to be where we really belong and excel in that area and also feel contentment and joy.

Archeolgy is a very interesting field, and all the more public relations, though they may be two extremes, it does not matter since you got a promising career ahead of you.

I wanted to be a little bit of everything when I was growing up LOL. I wanted to be a teacher, a ballerina, an astronaut, an architect, a writer, a singer, a wife, and a mother. Now I am only one of those things - a wife :) But now that I'm older I would still like to be a teacher or a nurse. I never had much desire to get into the medical field until a few years ago and I had this amazing nurse. But it's extremely hard to do esp here and I don't have the time or the money to devote to school. I'm good just being a wife and one day a mommy.

Teaching is such a noble profession and it is adored and liked all over the world. There is no country where teachers aren't liked. I also had many teachers in my school life, college and university. A few of them were and still are my favorite. The teachers are just like mothers and fathers to you. When I was in college, I used to go to an academy for tution purposes after attending college. There I witness a teacher liking and even married his own student who was of his daughter's age. I was surprised and its real right that love is blind. When I was a child I loved to become a doctor but luck and faith had something else for me so I ended up becoming a computer doctor. I am working as Network Administrator now. Fixing, doing opeations on computers. I love my job and profession and I am very thankful to God that I am earning good peaceful money to keep my bread and butter running.

I remember being asked this question by my parents when I was about ten. And I think what I told them was that I wanted to become a flight stewardess. Hah! It came out of the blue and I guess I just wanted to feel how it is to be on a plane. Funny, now that I remember it because I am not even remotely close to being a flight stewardess. But it’s fine by me; it was just a passing fancy. I grew up drawn more on the financial side of things and before college, I was about to take up a course in commerce majoring in either Banking and Finance or Management. I didn’t know Accountancy then, but someone mentioned it to me and I ended up taking the said course. Now I am practicing what I have learned in college and I am quite happy with it.

I always wanted to be a scientist, discover something that nobody could have think of, become famous and rich through that discovery. I end up becoming an enginner. Engineers and scientist still have something in common and I still am very positive that i could discover something.
