I did not receive a single message on my mobile phone yesterday. It felt sad. Since me and my boyfriend have broken up, no one sends me messages regularly. It was pretty boring here yesterday. Considering that we have to change our phone line. No internet and TV. I sent messages to some of my friends but no one responded.
I felt disappointed because it seems that I don't have any friends left and that no one seemed to care about me. What do you feel when no one sends you a message on your mobile phone?

I don't have an answering machine so I don't know if they called or not. I usually use e-mail for communication.

Argie, don't feel bad and I know you read books. I know you are a good student, but it was impossible to resist teasing you! Do you play a musical instrument? Or draw? Do you play sports? It seems there ought to be quite a few things a young lady could do that would require great concentration and could take the mind off one's cell phone!

I do not feel disappointed in not getting any text messages since it can be pretty costly, unless you are under a particular text messaging plan. I used to text message a lot and receive text messages but not anymore. Only in emergencies do i use text messaging.

Awww, you poor thing! In case it makes you feel any better, you have at least one friend here who loves you...me!
I don't do much texting myself, nor do I make a lot of calls. I prefer to use my cell only in an emergency. I use my e-mail and IM/VoIP for chit-chat.
I do have a friend from church who texts my e-mail address from her cell phone, and I can send a text-only e-mail right back to her. But that's as far as I go.
I've occasionally felt disappointed when I didn't get any e-mails from loved ones, but I haven't had that problem since joining myLot. Someone is always talking to me! :) Lots of luvs! xoxo

You're very welcome, love. And I'm sorry it's been so long and so lonely. It's always a blessing for me to hear from those I care about, you included. :)
The sermon at church this morning was actually about communication and forgiveness. We learned about the LORD'S Prayer, when Jesus' disciples asked Him to teach them how to pray, and about God's desire for an intimate relationship with each of us. We learned that "Abba" translates to "Daddy," a much more affectionate term.
So good it is to laugh at every opportunity. Humor is the spice of life. "Funny" literally means "like fun," and laughter most certainly is fun. Hugs and kisses from California!

I have already experienced it. Me and my 'fling' partner separated and because of that no one sends me messages and love quotations regularly. While my friends are just not fond of texting.. :)
It's okay for me, I don't mind. But if everytime I'm sad when I feel that everyone ignores me, I just focus myself on other things instead of waiting for them to notice me.. :) Sometimes, I make the first move :)

Yes I feel the same way sometimes. Especially if I text someone and they don't call or text back. It makes me feel like I have no friends. Plus, I recently moved and I used to get text messages like all day. But now it's like I have no one to talk to or hang out with. My friends used to send me texts to go hang out or come over their house. I miss those times. Now I have no one to keep me busy. :)

I don't feel sad about not receiving text messages ..I prefer an email ..or communicating on forums like this.
I am sorry to hear you and your boyfriend broke up; I sure hope you find a new boyfriend and that you find relief from no messages..
I see this discussion is now 4 months old..so tell me..did you find a new bf?

That doesn't disappoint me at all!! I actually prefer if people DON'T send me messages on my cellphone. It just costs me money to retrieve those messages. My cellphone is not for entertainment, it is for emergencies, and I wish people would just leave me alone about it!

I am not really disappointed if no one sends messages to my mobile though I do really enjoy receiving messages. In fact, messages to me are more for information passing and communication. I do not use it to kill boredom. If no one sends message and I am bored while waiting for bus, I may send a message out to a friend and if he responds, great. Otherwise, I look elsewhere for fun.

I don't care anymore...in the past, I receive plenty of text messages daily...I have noticed that these days, people no longer forward messages, but will text only when necessary...so I have now accepted that fact...in other words, people are no longer that crazy over mobile phones...I'm sorry about your broken relationship with your bf...it must be upsetting...life becomes so boring without internet and TV...anyway, you have to learn to live with it and enjoy as soon as they're back...here's wishing you the best..

i wouldn't really be disappointed if no one sends me SMS on my mobile phone. i would even be thankful if that's the case coz i have noticed that most of the messages i have been receiving lately are mostly forwarded messages like quotes and jokes. i would prefer personalized messages.
what would really piss me off is when i keep sending SMS and i really expect a reply for my messages and none of the people i have sent SMS to would reply.

Hi argie713! Back when I was high school, I'm disappointed when no one sends me any message. I even have to send message to my friends asking them questions so that they will be "obligated" to reply. LOL
But now, I never bother that much if I don't receive any messages, usually forwarded ones. I've learned to send "imporant" messages using my cellphone.
And in a day, somebody always sends me a text message. Thanks to unlimited text promos!
*hehe*

In your situation is very sad to not receive messages on cellphone. I felt like you som months ago, because I let my ex girlfriend. Generally I don't feel disappointed if no one sends me sms, I could feel disappointed if my girlfriend does not send sms to me during the day.

Well, its an adjustment period that you are going through right now and i know its easy and its the rough times in your life. after your relationship things will never be the same again and just think that you can make it through this and you will be a better person.
Me i dont get disappointed when no one sends me mesages coz its an indication that there are no things to talk about or to send so no worries for me.
Have a nice day ahead and just keep smiling.
