I have lots of pets. The birds I've put in the trash. The cats and the dogs are buried in the yard and when the horses go, I'll have to see what to do about them. I've lost 2 horses when I lived in Massachusetts and I did send them to the killers. Now, before everyone has a fit, I knew the person and it was done humanely. I had no place to bury them and there is now way I'm going to pay anyone for a grave site. That is simply ridiculous! My mother was cremated and that is my wish as well. I love all my animals dearly, I do not have children. But, when they are gone, that's it. I cry and have tremendous grief but I rest in the fact that I may see them again in Heaven. If I don't, I don't but I take comfort from this belief while I'm living. Putting the empty, soulless body in the ground with a headstone and giving money to someone to ease my pain just seems stupid to me. I keep their memories alive in my head and I miss them all very much. And if I can give a home to another critter and love them just as much, I feel I'm doing the right thing. Hope that helps a little bit.

DO YOU not have vets who have a cremation service and give you back the ashes? i've done that with several of mine special babies. nothing wrong with that.

Cremate the cat in the backyard if you have a backyard. Of if she was a pet you would be willing to give the last respect, spare some cash and busy it in the cat cemetery
