I just read this on the news spot on people pc. It takes place in Olympia Washington and is really funny but also kind of hurtful. This dentist was doing an implant surgery on his assistant and while she was under he temporarily implanted tusks like boars tusks in her mouth and snaped pictures of her. Then he removed the tusks and put the right implants in, he did not tell her about the pictures or show her, no she found out at a birthday party. She was so humiliated that she quit her job and sued the dentist. His insurance company refused to insure the claim. Fireman's Fund said that the practical joke was not covered. Ultimately the assistant was awarded $250,000 out of court. The dentist then sued his insurance company. The first court said they would award the dentist $750,000 dollars stating that it should have been covered by his insurance company under it being part of the dental surgery even though it wasn't and the proffesional liability part of his policy should kick in. The state court revoked that ruling and then the supreme court re-enstated the ruling. So not only did the girl make $250,000 the doctor made $750,000 dollars for doing it! The professional got paid for pulling a really hurtful pratical joke.. to read the story try this link. i am not sure if it will work, but we will see.
