A few days ago I was taking photos at a Semi Pro Football Game. The weather forcast was for Isolated Showers. I was caught in a shower that was far from isolated it was a downpour that lasted for about 1/2 hr and left about 2 inches of water running off the field. I was caught out there with all my camera equiptment and my camera. My camera bag, a Lowpro Reporter Bag, was rated as an all weather bag. I had my extra lens in there and spare battery and cards in the camera bag. When it started to sprinkle I got my all weather cover on my camera. Within 10minutes I was soaked but was able to get some good shots.
One thing that did save me was having a weather proof covering to cover my camera, whch stayed dry, and a plastic bag that I was able to cover my camera bag with and help kee it somewhat dry. The bag did live up to the rating and it was wet on the outside but the inside was dry. I was glad that i had a few items with me to protect my equiptment.
