How do you think about ' the secret' book? Nice?

I've been reading it in bits, reading sections, then letting them digest. I picked it up with a negative attitude. I work in customer service for a number of book clubs, and people were calling daily to order The Secret. I thought it was a faddish thing, like Dianetics or The Celestine Prophecy. I had no desire to read it. I picked it up for a friend, but she already had a copy. I began reading it so I could learn what it's all about. I think it has some merit. Positive thinking goes a long way, but I think some people think that simply thinking positive will yield all their heart's desires. You still have to be proactive. I'm still skeptical about the theory about if you believe, the universe will realign itself to make what you believe possible. I'm interested in hearing what others have to say.
