Are you sure you know where you are going after this life?

I don't believe in either heaven or hell, so I'm not worried about going to either of those places. I do believe in an Otherworld, but it's very different from either of the places that you have mentioned. It encompasses many realms, some that are more like Earth and others that are completely unlike Earth. There are many pathways and options to take there, and spirits continue to learn there, rather than feeling as if their journey had ended. =)

Somehow you've got my point. you still have an idea where you were going after this life. you believe in otherworld, it's interesting to know that there are people like you who have an idea what will happen next. how does this "otherworld" affects your life here on earth?

I consider my life on Earth just another part of my path of learning, so I live it in such a way that I will learn from and also teach others. I surround myself with people I feel I have something to learn from, so that when I reach the Otherworld I will be ready for the new challenges and adventures that I find there.
And I live my life in such a way that when I face my Gosd, they will say "I am proud of you." It's not a question of them punishing me or rewarding me for my actions here, but I do want them to proud of me, and to feel that I have accomplished what they wanted for me for this lifetime.

Personally I do not believe in a heaven or hell. I am a good person because I choose to be a good person, not because I'm threatened by a hell or rewarded by a heaven.
One thing I do know for sure is that our physical being and energy exists, made up of the same stuff which makes up the universe. When I die my energy and physical being will be dissipated, absorbed, transformed and reused as part of the universe. In essence we are all immortal.
Is there a metaphysical consciousness that stays intact after we die? That, unfortunately, is an unknowable.

Well, I think if you asked every person who is in prison if they were worried about going to hell at the time they committed their crime, I think the answer would probably be no. Maybe after they got caught, but not at the time or they wouldn't have done it.
I believe that people, in general, are inherently good or society would not have functioned over the last several hundred thousand years. Even the Neanderthals had to have a cooperative societal structure with a sense of morality to live together and I don't think they were Christians.
There are still man's laws to keep order in society. I also believe in morality, and that every child should be taught how to live a moral and cooperative life. Morality itself is not an exclusively religious concept, it was around long before any organized religion.
In my opinion, more damage (wars, murder, terrorism, slavery) has been done to the human condition over history in the name of religion than any other reason and it continues to be true to this day.
I am not saying that the concept of religion is wrong or bad. I have nothing against religion. I do have a problem with any religion that says it's ok to kill, exclude, enslave, dictate and control your fellow humans just because they don't believe the same way that the religion says. Everyone should be free to chose their own belief system without fear.

It's nice to know that even though you don't agree or believe on heaven and hell, you still choose to do good. if there is no reward and punishment, do you think it is still safe to live here on earth if other people who have the same belief like you chooses to do bad? what if suddenly all the people will become selfish and get everything they want because they are not threatened by hell nor believe in rewards of heaven?

Hi bryan,
Oh yes! I am very sure where I will be going when I die. I will go to Heaven! I won't go because I deserve it, but because of what Christ did for me on the cross and I have given my life to Him. It really is exciting to know that this life is not all there is! We have an eternal life awaiting us...for those who believe!
Jesus Christ is the only way to Eternal Life! I pray many will come to know Him!
It isn't because of anything I have done, but something so wonderful that God has done for me!
God bless you!
