i do. especially to those who i've been really close with. i hate loosing people who i've learned to treasure and who i've really loved as friends. so i do my best to kee on communicating with them. and im very touched to those who do the same thing. just like one of my former officemates who we fondly calls "mama linda". she sends me messages whenever she can and we chat on ym whenever we're both online. ^__^
how about you?

I do have a couple of high school friends that I still keep in touch with but only a couple. Most people have gone their separate ways and have gotten married. I do still keep in touch with some previous coworkers as well. It is nice to have some old friends still as well as making new friends. I wish that I had kept in touch more with other friends from my younger days.

i also have a lot of highschool friends who have their own married life now and are busy with their children. but we contact each other once in a while. but there are those who have really gone with their own lives and never bother to get in touch.
as for my college friends, they are scattered all over the country and some of them are even abroad. some have lost contact and some do keep in touch.

As far as high school classmates are concerned,
no because I moved very far from my home town.
None of my relatives live there anymore so I
don't go back.
I'm still in touch with two college friends but
but for the most of them eventually our careers
and distance again has separated us.
I've never found anyone at previous jobs that I've
wanted to stay in touch with. I'm not one who is
big on networking.

Yeah secretbear I totally agree with you.
Distance sucks when trying to remain in
touch with friends and loved ones. It tears
your heart apart.

u-huh. sometimes its really depressing when we want to see each other but we just cant because we're too far apart. some of my friends are together in the same area and they get together sometimes. whenever they see each other i just get so jealous! LOL im frustratingly wishing i was there having fun with them.

distance really plays a lot here dont you think so? i've also friends who live an ocean apart from me and we've lost contact. its almost impossible for us to see each other anymore since we're living our own lives now. its just so sad coz she's one of my dear friends who i love dearly. i hate losing friends just because of distance and communication.

Yes I do contact with my old classmates (only those whom I was more familiar with) and we are still friends after coming out to work and deal with our busy lives. I treasure the good times we spent in school and there was a lot to remember, therefore, we are still keeping in touch and sometimes we have dinner and have a good chat about the past, good laughs too! It was so much fun. Life has certainly been busy for everyone of us but we work hard to communicate online or go out for dinner just to keep that friendship growing.

you're lucky you and your friends live near each other. me and my highschool friends live near each other too so its easy for us to see each others. but me and my college friends? we're separated by seas. LOL to see each other on a weekly or even on a monthly basis is out of the question. ^__^;; we meet by chance and by chance alone. and that's like, not even once in a year! LOL so settle with emails and text messages and phone calls. that's it. ^__^

Right. I have some friends whom I would meet like once in a million years too! But with today's means of communication, we feel like we have never lost each other and that's great! I am sure you and your colleagues are feeing that way too!

Facebook is a wonderful tool - ever since I joined, I've actually got in touch with quite a few old school friends - people who live miles away from me - people whom I have not seen in over a decade.

I don't really talk to that many of my high school sort of friends much. But I do still talk to my friends from broadcasting school... well one of them anyway.
I still talk to one of my old co-workers too, but not as often because you know obviously we used to talk more often when we worked together cause we saw eahc other more.

I'm not a big email girl. So I don,t really like to write an email first. If someone write to me, I will write back and like that we will continue to write to each other, but if the other stop, I will not write back lol.
But once in a while, to some of my old friend, I try to send an email. I also have emails of so ex co-worker, but I think I need to write to them lol

Frankly speaking.. I am more of an Introvert..and i seldom mix with others..and therefore i have made a handful of friends... Ofcourse i had some friends during all my career right from school to till this day.. But only a few of them i have.. upon whom i fully trust... and they are my School friends ...and even this day we meet on occassions and enquire about each others welfare.
Hence to tell the truth, no matter how many friends that I've made in other stages of my lifetime, I don't have that kind of good feeling same as what I have towards those middle school friends, though not all my middle school schoolmate could become my best friends....

Yes, I do. Most are those friends from way back. I tried to keep in touch with them the way they do the same. Its nice talking or writing or texting your former classmates and officemates. They are sisters and brothers to me. We talk as if we were family, brothers and sisters. But there are very few of them to whom our communication goes on and on. And sometimes we met and just like the old days. My family is also their family and I am a member of that family. I love and care for all of them.

Unfotrutanelty I hardly have any contact with my high school friends. Mostly it's just a chance meeting on the street when I talk to them v.v But I am very touched when I get an invitation for a birthday from one of them or there'sa class meeting^_^

yeah, usually its during special occasions that old friends get to meet. we get to meet during birthdays too but not always. sometimes someone wouldn't celebrate his/her birthday. that lessens the days that we see each others. ^__^

me and my buds go way back in pre-school ^ ^
I'm not really a person who loves easily. I think it's because people get intimidated by me. I really don't have a friendly face, so I don't get approached a lot. hehe...I sometimes think that's why I haven't been robbed yet. LOL!
I've been tight with my buds for 18 years! :)

LOL then you must not change your face or else you'd be robbed! LOL
wow. its rare to retain friends from pre-school unless you always see each other and you're living next to each other. i think i only have one friend that goes way back to pre-school. we're still friends but we dont see each others a lot.

im not that lucky. i went to college in a province too, way way far from home. and when i graduated, of course i had to leave the place and return home. i've lost contact to some of my good friends but still in contact with most of them. and the good things is, a lot of them are moving to the city, which is near to my work so we can see each other if our schedule permits us. ^__^

Right now, I made a long distance call from time to time to check how is my best buddy officemate doing with her pregnancy. She is very especial to me. She was like an older sister and at the same time a confidant and a very close friend. We worked together for almost 2 years, lived in the same apartment for almost 6 months and she was the one who was there for me during my ups and downs when I start working already. She has been a part of my life in the same way that I am to hers.
I also have communication with some of my classmates from elementary until college and it is through friendster or YM.

that's sweet marie. ^__^
when you live together with someone nice you cant really avoid to develop a good relationship. with my previous work, me and my officemates lived together in one staffhouse. most of them were nice and we treated each others like family. ^__^ right now we usually get in touch through text messages.
