Animal Abuse discussions...i hate them!

i love animals. all animals..well except roaches and potato bugs. lol
so i always check the animals area to see the new topics. lately i havent been wanting to. it seems like there are so many discussions of animal abuse horror stories..and i just cannot read those anymore! all it takes is half a paragraph and im fighting back tears! i cant understand how ppl can be so cruel to a creature that is competletly underserving..and just for the sake of being mean! why?
what happens in a childs life that makes the adult behave this way?

I am totally with you on this one! I don't know what makes people be so mean and such to their animals or any animals. I hate reading these stories! I saw one on here last night that was a happy ending one, but it was still kind of sad. I wish there were more good stories than bad in this world. But, whether it is animals, children or people, the horror stories are outweighing the happy stories today in our world.

I have never understood it either. I couldn't dream of hurting an animal and have been known to cry over a mouse in a trap. I go out of my way to feed strays and have even rescued worms that got stuck on the walkway in the hot sun (I push them into the cool grass so they can get to the dirt). It is beyond me how someone can be so heartless and cruel to any animal. Like you I can't stand to even read the stories.

I hate those too, I am an animals lover and it just breaks my heart to see this sort of thing going on...I know that I cannot save these poor animals but I wish that I could..It totally baffles me as to why people would want to harm some poor innocent defenseless creature..

I have a subscription to Cat Claws newsletter that is e-mailed to me. I don't even read those anymore. They always have a happy ending, but it's all the crap before the ending that I don't wanna have to read.
