Ross hubby and I took Mum and Dad for a drive again today to Loch Lomond , It was a really gorgeous day and there was a fair on , it was really busy , Mum and Dad are almost 90 and they are not able to walk very far , we usually go for chips and manage the loo before we go home but today the shops were really busy , So before we left Lomond shores we had a bottle of cola and a bag of crisps from the boot of the car ( no crisps for me ) half way home Ross asks if there is a lay by near with lots of trees to hide behind as he is bustin lol , No there are no lay buys and the road is busy ,I could see his face going white in the drivers mirror we got to a petrol station and he ran in just made it , anyone else want to go , noooo we all said , Almost home about 5 miles to go , Dad says " are we near a loo I am bustin " , lol I was laughing so was he , I went into a Motorway service station only half a mile from home , The relief on his face was so lovely , I think I am going to have to get a portaloo for my car lol , otherwise a great day had by all , xxx

What is it about riding in a car far from a service area that makes you have to pee! I always have to go where I can't and have to wait until my eyes cross! Your parents are so lucky to have such lovely daughter and son in law to take good care of them. Sweet Sis you are a GEM! oxxoxoxoxo

What a fun picture that must have been, both busting for the loo LOL I tend to just hold it until we hit a service centre. When we travel with the Scouts we tend to stop every hour anyway as someone always needs to go and it's not usually me LOL xxx

LOL, lol, lol! I have experienced this before where we couldn't find a toilet nearby. It happened long ago, perhaps five years back, I couldn't exactly remember what year it happened. My husband and I used to travel daily down to town those days. We opened a stall there for the Ramadhan night market. One weekend, my friend came along to help. She is the same age as me. I didn't know she's having problem with her stomach. As usual after closing the stall that night, my husband drove the car back to our home. In the middle of the journey, suddenly my friend said her stomach was hurting real bad. She thought she had eaten something stale which she bought from the night market. She said she had to bowel, she couldn't wait until we reach home. There was no toilet to find in the middle of the forest. The nearest petrol station was 25 kilometres ahead. If she wanted to bowel, she would have to do it on the roadside. She said she would, because she could no longer tolerate it. The road to our home is deserted, and we have to go through some sort of a forest where not many people would like to stop for anything. There used to be stories of tigers passing through the road, and it was scary to stop especially at night. I pitied her so much, and I told my husband to stop for a while. However, my husband was scared to stop there since it was really in the middle of the forest. Anything could happen. So we didn't stop and we continued the journey. I kept looking at the back hoping that she could just hold on for a few minutes more. My husband was speeding as fast as he could. She moaned and cried. Then suddenly she said, "I could not stand it any more. I have to go, now! Please, can I go in the car?" she asked with tears. I just nodded, because there were no other alternatives at that time. My husband just didn't want to stop. So she boweled in the car. Later she asked again "I've done it, but I didn't pee yet. Could I just pee now?" I didn't say anything, I only nodded. Oh well, she might as well do it both since there is no difference now to the level of dirtiness. After the business is complete, she kept quiet for a while. Later, all of us laughed and laughed non-stop. It felt so funny to have done it in the car. Luckily the stools didn't come out from her pants. I gave a peep at the back seat. Only the urine dirtied the sofas. She then cleaned the sofas by herself and didn't allow us to come near it until it was perfectly clean and odorless. Later I checked the sofa and the overall car, nothing could be spotted there. We were relieved. Whenever I recall that incident, I would laugh so hard. It was the most funniest incident ever. Until now, my friend is blushing whenever she meets us again. LOL!

When my brother and sisters and I were little, before anyone went anywhere on a family outing , Mum would ensure we went to the loo first. I remember arguing that I didn't "need" to but I had to try anyway. When I grew up, I learned the necessity of this when my own two were little. Even now that I'm a grandmother, I still make sure I go before I leave home to go out anywhere. Most of the time it stops me getting caught short as I really don't like to use public conveniences. I'm glad you had a lovely time on your day out...I can just see you all rockin' along, singing your heads off and having a jolly time.

I hate it when you can never find a toilet but I usually hold it in lol. Then if you do find a toilet they are usulyl filthy and full of wee. Though now Joshua can go to the toilet we often need to find one for him when we are out, though at the shopping center here it costs 20p per person, so hubby will carry Joshua so only pays 20p and not 40p. I will not pay that just for the toilet and would wait until I got home lol.

I laughed sorry! What I do is take one of those fabric conditioner bottles with me and if I get short I use it in the car, when needs must! It is very useful and I had it when I went camping, don't tell anyone but when it was cold and wet in the early morning and I was desperate and didn't want to go out in the cold that fabric conditioner bottle would come in great use and it's plastic too, just the ticket ;0) xxx Ok, so I have no shame!

It is funny but ask the one who is going through it...!! Its ok with the men..!! But what if it comes to women..?? Now that is really something very messy..!! When we need to pee we just need a loo by hook or by crook..!! So if nothing else.. I prefer finding some petrol pums around where you always get public toilets..!! Or any resturant or any place where you can find HUMANS atleast..!! :P:P YOu now to me ...once I was in that very same situation and on top of that no loo almost for 1-2 hrs in the journey..!! :O I can't help it I just ran to some bushes around, as I am very familier to this kind bushy things :P because I belong to a tribe and in my village we still don't have any sanitation system...!! :( So whenever I visit my village I have to use those nature bushy loos......:) (because my village is very much confined in between of woods!!) I hate going to my village. :)

Many years ago, I used to drive a lot in the outback for my job. As no toilets are present in most of the desert, I used to take a roll of toilet paper with me. Not that I like going behind a tree, but sometimes I have no choice. Anyway, I carried this habit with me, when I moved back to the city, & always have a tiolet roll in the car. I won't go any place that doesn't have toilets now. Hubby can't understand this very well. It's a whole loit easier for men to just stand therre & do it behind trees!

You make me laugh weemam - I was just picturing all of you in the car and you seeing the strained look on Ross's face in your rear view mirror! Glad to made it to a service station for your Dad! It's ok for men, they just need to find some bushes behind which to relieve themselves, but it's not so easy for us women, is it? If I couldn't find a loo and I was bustin' to go, I would have to find a secluded spot and get my hubby to stand guard whilst I performed, lol!

Lol abbey it's not the first time I have had to do that , at least we were all laughing , I told them they should have gone before we left and they both said " yes Mum " at the same time lol xx

So far I have not encountered a time when I cannot find a loo. There are times when I was really tight and the very first thing I do is to rush to any public place and asked to use the loo. In Singapore, it wasn't too bad. There are quite lots of public toilets around.

I'm glad you were able to find a loo for Ross and later, for your dad, weemam. I don't know about the area where you live but it seems there is one on every corner where I live(station). They do make those little porta Johns and porta Janes in some places. I used to get a medical supply catalog that had them. You might try to look for one.

You are lucky that Dad had such control. I have found when I am in those circumstances that I always try to watch for the next available facilities and make a stop if the need is there or not. Since you never know how long it might be until there is another opportunity.

It looks like a funny situation but it is really a painful one for the peson who is the sufferer.Once i faced a similar situation .I was in a tourust bus & it was struck in a jam in a highway for 8 hours. That was the most painful period in my life.I remember when i reached my home i just ran towards lo without looking at anything .The relief i got can't be compared to anything in this world.
