I would call the police and let them know what is going on. They should be able to advise you what steps to take and they might also contact him to let him know that he needs to remain off your property. I would definately call the police and let them handle the situation. You should not have to feel scared in your own home.

Your right I should, With my husband being home i do feel safe but he does work days.. I just don't want something to happen and no one is around.. I think at least letting the police know is a good start.. Thanks for your advice.

My first thought was that you would want to get a restraining order, but it would be better first to just let the police know, and give them a description. The vehicle registration would be even better, if you can get it. Why is he going through your driveway? I would see if the police will take action without getting your name involved, so that he will not be inclined to take revenge. I am sure the local police can give you the most specific advice for your locality.

I was thinking maybe someone missed a turn and instead went straight on to my house.. When I seen it my husband looked at the same time.. Over the weekend we have a festival so we thought it was just someone that made the wrong turn, no biggy.. Than after that he kept coming back and finally stopped to talk to my neighbor and than when everything was said.. I know my husband is very protective over my son and I and he will go to the extent of making sure this person isn't allowed on the property.. Thank you so much for your reply!!!

I would make sure to lock all my doors..How close does he live to you? You need to notify the police and let them know, especially if you keep seeing him....You need to tell your neighbor that he may have to tell the guy to stay away..this is a very touching situation because you don't want to make the guy angry or anything..He may have been just turning around in your driveway...since you said he is a friend of your neighbor, but that could be an excuse too....I would be on my guard..not to scare you or anything..Make sure you husband knows....

i would ring the local police and tell them of your concern, but legally he has done his time and has every right to start over again. do i think once a rapist always a rapist yes i do so i would be concerned i really don't know what u can do its not nice to imprision yourself in your house to feel safe, if u don't have a dog get a dog it may put the guy off coming near the house. please let me know how u get on and if your on speaking terms with the neighbour go and have a talk with them

Unfortunatly our laws are very lame when it comes to this sort of stuff. It is almost as if he has to actually do something in order for something to be done. I would definetly call the police and voice your concerns. Also...if you are really uncomfortable file a restraint. I think i may have misled you when I posted about a personal restraint. It was a few years ago that I had to use this. There are two types of restraints and in one you don't have to go to court...the police just barr them from the property. I would talk to all your neighbors and maybe collectively go to the police.

I understood your other post... I know which one you are talking about and they do have that in Wisconsin... The police here seem to take this stuff seriously mainly with children around. And when the offender is Male and females are around.. I could do that.. I am not sure if the rest of the neighbors even know this person I know I didn't until they told me about him and it frighten me.. Thank you so much Sid for your reply!!

It depends on your state laws, im sure. I got a personal restraining order against one of my daughters' boyfriends that was a convicted felon. I rent and he was not allowed to come anywhere near my place or my work. Talk to your landlord, I'll bet he/she will back you on this one....mine did.

Having to live in fear of someone is not a good thing. Stress can do a lot of damage to our bodies. Tell your landlord about this so he/she can take the legal steps to keep him off the property. You should report his actions to the police so they can keep tabs on him. At least this way you will remain anonymous which is best. Complaining to your neighbor could bring about unwanted consequences.

I have thought about that too.. If he knew and the police were involved than things wouldn't be so great... I don't want to really get my neighbor involved sense he really hasn't done anything wrong but yet telling the person where we live and knowing what he was, was totally wrong on his part mainly with a child being present..But talking to my landlord I believe would be my first step.. Thank you for your reply!

well i think that CONSTANT VIGILANCE is important. all i can say is first, report any malicious events or actions by the suspect and also inform the police about the whereabouts of the said person so that the police may be able to keep an eye on him. Tell your neighbors and family (esp the women and children) to never go in an isolated or lonely place alone. as much as possible, and as long as the suspected person is around, tell them to never wander or stay in alone anywhere. well thats all i can say.. Godbless~.

Thank you so much for your reply.. I know the police control my area pretty good which is a nice thing but living down in a wooded area they really don't come down in here.. They just passed the driveway.. I do have older people that living in my area so I can let them all know what's going on, but for children I believe I am the only one..

LOL Most certainly when I kick though it's never hard but I am sure it will be if someone tries to attack me like that.. The thought though of him being around scares me.. He hasn't been for a few days but than again I am not watching out my window 24/7 either I do play it safe and lock my doors at night and make sure every thing is ok.. Thank you so much for your reply and I will most certainly remember that!!

There is no way I am going to hurt someone like that.. I totally disagree with you.. I am no monster that's for sure.. The only thing that can ever happen is he goes back to jail if he is on probation and he's breaking it.. I don't know where he can and can not be.. But NEVER would I do something like that... Thanks for your reply!

Easy to say, but if he hasn't done anything wrong they are not going to take him back.. That would be the only problem.. How ever if he did than yes he can be brought back to jail.. Other than that nothing can really be done... Thanks for your reply!
