I remember Mike Reid very well, and was always quite a fan of his. The program that I remember most was the Children's game show Runaround, which was noisy and total mayhem and really demonstrated Mike Reid's great ability to entertain children and adults at the same time.
At 67 he has had a good life, but of course it is still a loss for comedy.

it's really sad he is one of the most memerable characters of eastenders and it's sad to think good old frank buthcher will never return to the square.I hope he enjoyed the time he had in spain bfore he went and it just goes to show how short life can be.

My heart breaks! Frank was such a bright, funny, slightly frightening character! Frank was the only reason my husband would watch Eastenders with me at first, then he became hooked as badly as I was!
Our pbs station dropped the show last year, and I have been lost without it! I send condolences to all who knew and loved Mike Reed... he was wonderful!
