i think it varies on how the cats health is and i guess some breeds are different.i just purchased a cat and his life span is 25 years.hes a great cat.i have a discussion on naming my cat,can you help pick a name.thanks.do you have a cat.this is the first cat i have ever owned,and hes such a doll.you can see the pictures in my discussion or profile.

It does vary but not according to the breed, its weather they are indoor cats or outdoor cats..The out door cats tend to live a shorter life span due to diseases and other factors like predators...

I do know indoor cats live longer than outdoor cats. I think the average indoor cat's lifespan is 12-14 years. Naturally, the numbers are relavant to various factors, such as genetics, vaccinations, diet, exercise, and emotional health.
