I am a soon-to-be 28 year old raised in the typical middle-class family where money matters have never been discussed. I don't even know where to begin. I have no children yet, but I am unsure about retirement and it seems that time flies. I am absolutely clueless about how to invest. 401k, IRA and money market accounts are all greek to me. Bank vs credit union??? Can anyone give me BASIC advice of how to invest for my future??? Any help would be MUCH appreciated!!!
PS For all those parents out there I implore you to discuss money with your children EARLY and warn them about credit card companies that prey on college students!!! Talk openly about bills and mortgages!!!!
