How to Fold a Fitted Sheet

One of the many tasks I have in my job duties is doing laundry for those who can no longer accomplish this on their own. I don't mind doing laundry or folding it when it is done. But, folding a fitted sheet in a neat fashion has been a difficult thing for me to do. So many people have tried to show me how it is done. Mine never seem to come out very neat.
After scanning the web for a solution to this dreaded problem I found a website that gives step by step instructions on how to fold a fitted sheet. It reallyhas been quite useful for me. I still have problems folding these dang sheets, but the instructions make it somewhat easier. Here is the link to this site:

I've never even thought about trying to fold one before but now I'll be giving it a shot.

Ohhh, I absolutely despise trying to fold a fitted sheet. I just know that as I am wrestling the darn thing that there is a small, evil-faced sheet troll giggling sinisterly nearby. I'm certain that this troll is the one who usually lives in the dryer, eating one from each pair of socks that I place into the dryer. Now why this troll has chosen me to slowly drive to a nervous breakdown I haven't quite figured out as yet. I'll just try to be strong and stand up to his shinanigans by utilizing useful information such as that found in your posted link. I'll win in the end!

I rarely put much effort into it, I just get as close to folded as I can.

I never could fold them right. I usually just fold the best way I can and put them in the linen closet. But at least, I know how to do them right or left as the case may be. I'm left handed.

When I did this for consumers I made sure everything was super nice and tidy..I was always able to fold them neatly..but at my house I just give it a quick fold and put it away..

That makes sense, somehow folding a sheet that neatly at home just doesn't seem all that practical.

Gee, we can find anything on the net nowadays.
I am never able to fold fitted sheets. They end up get a bit squished, & jammed in the cupboard.
I had a look at your link. It looks relatively simply. The thing to get right is floding the corners into together.
Will I have the patience? We will see.
I have a heap of sheets on the line at tghe moment, so I can practise when they dry.

Lol…. Thanks for that- I dislike folding the fitted sheets – no matter how meat and careful you are- they don’t come out nice- just bulky- I’ll try this the next time- although I’m still pretty sure it will be no easy quest!

So you're a perfectionist ...... I dropped the ball at fitted sheets, I felt no need to fold that neatly.

I have always had trouble folding them too. A friend of mine showed me how to do it so it made it a little easier, but I will go have a look at this website and see if it shows the same way. Maybe this will be even easier yet. You never know...

I don't see why anyone needs to get them that neatly folded.

I too hate folding the fitted sheet. I, believe it or not, now fold it like they show, but it never turns out that nice. Just enough to be able to put it away nice enough. lol
That was a neat little link to share though. Thanks!! At least I know I am doing it like I should, even if I don't do it perfectly lol

I like to fold sheets straight from the clothesline. Mom taught me about fitted sheets, but I can still get in a hurry and mess them up. It makes more sense in my head than in my hands, probably because I am impatient. The website looks nice, but I do not always have a table. Lucky no one looks in my closets.

I try to do my best when taking them from the line. Sometimes they don't look as neat as the picture from the instructions, but they are neater than wadding them in a ball.

I was trying to remember who I posted this link to! For every 3 out of 4 tries at folding this according to the instructions, they come out wrong. I get tickled when they come out right.

I was thinking it as good a time as any to learn how to do this. I come close to making it neat. But, it isn't as good as it should be.
