Including your accessories (like lenses, camera bags, and tripods, but not printers and stuff)
I think ive spent a total of $840... That's not a HUGE amount as photography goes, but for a High School/Freshman College student goes, it is (Specially since I payed for it from my Papa Johns salary)

Yes indeed it is. And the funny thing about spending all of this money is that my camera is just a Point and Shoot, but I have gotten some VERY decent photos from it, so I am content =]

I payed around 800 for the camera body and lens, a few hundred in other lenses, 50 for a case, about 250 for the tripod and tripod head. So in all, I guess I spent around 1500 or so.
Cameras aren't cheap, but if you buy quality, the stuff can last for a very long time. And I love it. That's the only way I can justify paying as much as I did on my pay.

Yea, I agree with you. As long as you protect it, it will serve you VERY well =]
