Does anyone really have luck with "surf for traffic" sites?

Seriously, do you have any luck surfing for traffic? What kind of sites are you tryting to get traffic for? What surf sites and what strategies do you recommend? I belong to almost a dozen surf sites, I surf about an hour a day give or take, and haven't got hits worth a crap--and I'm dealing with a variety of sites. Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?
