is it possible to connect by a cable two PC's mounting two different OS's ?

As long as they use the same network protocols, computers that use different desktop operating systems (e.g. MacOS, Windows 98,Windows XP, Windows Vista) can be connected to communicate with each other, and share information.

ryan is right, if they both have tcpip protocol, then its 100% possible!

sorry about that. i am not familiar with linux. i had an internet cafe before and i used different windows versions and it worked for all computers. i could copy and share files from one computer to another.

i think it is defenetly possible , just it will be difficult . I dont know many about the mac , (i assume ist mac and windows?) , but i know its open source , so maybe you could just download a windows emulator , and so connecting them? greetings

connecting Linux to Xp this is the problem... methinks it would be better if there were Mac Os X 'cause it is more akin to linux. alas. thanks and bye

Never tried it. Interesting question. I have linked to pc's together with the same OS.
