Pregnancy . . .

I'm having my second baby and I'm just 1 month pregnant. But this is completely different with the first one. I feel sick almost everyday all day long. During my first, I felt nothing at all but loved to eat a lot. No morning sick, etc. These days I felt sick all day like I want to vomit especially after I eat. So I prefer not to eat. By the way, have you ever have heard that during pregnancy, couples are not supposed to kill any animals, laugh on bad things, no sewing, etc cause those might let the baby born with some minus things like not having perfect shape like other normal baby?

Those things you've heard are superstitions. A belief from old folks before but if you strongly believe it then there's nothing wrong believing it. About that new feeling during your 2nd pregnancy, it's normal because not all pregnancy are alike. Important thing is have your pre natal check up, drink lots of milk, vitamins and stay healthy. Don't forget to pray also because that helps. Think positive, that your baby will be born healthy. Stay away from sodas / cola. Take good care of yourself and best wishes for your 2nd baby. :)

Thanks very much for your concern. I really appreciate it. I have a tight financial condition now and I keep thinking how to earn more. I don't want to think to hard or get stressed about it because I'm afraid I might let the baby feel uncomfortable. I was so scared. But your concern really cheer me up. I'll never forget to pray too. Thanks very much.

It's strange how pregnancies can be SO much different. I just had my second girl and the pregnancies, births, and their personalities now didn't have anything in common. With the morning sickness- make sure that you DO eat. Usually, morning sickness is caused from changes in your blood sugar. Eating small meals constantly throughout the day will keep it from fluctuating too much and you'll feel better. Also eat meals of carbs and protein (like peanut butter on toast). I never listen to the old wives tales- there's no way that they can be true so I don't worry myself with them.

Thanks for the information. I never expect such different pregnancy too. I thought with my first pregnancy being so tough, my other pregnancy would be the same. With what I had now, I don't feel like to eat. Thanks once again.

Most probably second pregnancy will be easier unlike your wordings. You have been caught under some mis-belief I think. Think freely eat whatever you want ,also be restricted with exercises.

I can't eat freely like my first because everytime I see food, I feel like full. Also after every meal I feel like vomitting. That makes me doesn't want to eat. I hope to pass this condition soon. Thanks.

I knowexactly how you feel as throughout my pregnancy i felt like that as well. I just done what the last responce said and ate little meals. Althogh mine was boiled eggs and left the yolk a little runny and dipped bred in eat yummy. And i hate vegimite on toast it made me feel heaps better so i could go out and do the shopping and all i i was very tired all the time and had to quit work when i was only 2 months as i used to be a chef and i was vomiting everytime i touched food lol. One thing i did learn though for if i ever want another kid is keep something with sugar with you at all times as i fainted once in the middle of the shopping centre as my sugar levels droped all of a sudden.

I never thought blood sugar can be so important during pregnancy. I thought I need to hide from sugar because I heard people said too much sugar during pregnancy will let the baby have diabetes. Now, I'm about 1 month pregnant and I tried to avoid the smell of the food and perfumed. I even feel like vomitting when I took a bath because of my soap. I should take the bath first because I don't want to smell the soap. By the way, people also said sugar and ice can make the baby grow bigger inside our womb, is it so?

Yes too much sugar can increase the risk of you baby having diabeties, but that is if you have heaps of sugar everyday. On you cereal and in you tea or coffee is fine but things like cakes and biscuts and chocalate is what you have to be careful of. Every now and then is fine just not all the time. As for the ice if you are in labour have a piece as it brings the contractions on. When i was in labour my mum gave me a piece and i went from 10 minutes down to 4 minutes i think. That day is a little faint for me lol. But i am just glad i have a happy and healthy little boy. Best wishes for you and your family.

I had 2 completely different pregnancies too. With my son I was sick maybe twice, ate all the time and had a pretty uneventful pregnancy and went late. With my daughter I was sick from about week 6 until week 32 or so. I was on medication it was so bad. I craved sweets and kept getting dehydrated and going into labor. She was born 3 weeks early but was bigger then my son. You never can tell wha the next pregnancy will be like because they really are all different. Happy & Healthy 9 months to you!

No, two pregnancies are alike, they are all different in some way... I dont really know of or have heard those old wives tales before, they sound pretty bizzarre..
