What was the first thing you bought when you earned your own money??

The first thing I bought was a vcr, since I didn't have one of my own. The first thing I bought for someone else was a leather coat for my boyfriend, as a belated Christmas gift.

The first thing I bought when I started making my own money was a car so I could get to work easier. The second thing I spent my money on was going to college.

Probably the first thing that I bought, sbksat, was a ticket to go back home at weekend. I didn't spend my salary for anything else and as soon as I arrived my home, I handed over my first income to my mother. It may sound strange to you, but I had always thought that my first income will be a gift to my mother who brought me up in a very difficult time. She insisted to hand me back the money but I refused. I only accepted that I would take some money to buy a gift for my father. She had to agree to keep my first income and then I took some to buy the gift. That's how I spent my first earned income:-)
