I really got into History in college, but deep down I think I always loved it, I just never had instructors who were really into History. History to me is so important because how can you know your future or where you are going, without knowing your past? The two go together.

I am glad that you are discovering the joy of finding out about the past. History was one of my favorite subjects when I was at school. The most interesting period of history for me is the Victorian Age. I remember learning about life then. As a teacher more recently my class looked into the life of Victorian school children. I was delighted when a Penny Farthing was lent to me.

Hi. Back in college I love my history class, I could sit there for hours if we could... I loved listening about different cultures and customs... History is the story book of the world...

Hello 1qazxsw2, Oh, it was the most hated subject for me. In fact, I hate all the subjects except Mathematics *laughs* I love history channel too and whenever it shows a good history 'lesson', I try not to miss it. But even if you ask me now, I still hate History lesson *laughs*

I hated history too. I love all of the learning channels that they have now. That's almost all I watch, with few exceptions. Isn't it amazing what we find interesting now, that we didn't care a bit for when we were younger?

I have always enjoyed historical novels and historical television much more than history in class. I think it depends on how inspired and inspiring the teacher is as well. History is much more interesting to me now, as well.
