I use WinAmp most of the time, and VLC for some files that Winamp can't handle. I like both of them, and they ocmplement eachother well. :D

i am using Media Player Classic. It is the best. Because it support almost all types of audio and video. And it is a free-ware software, you don't have to register it. While a small amount of donation is the reward for their hard work (Optional).

VLC is great - plays most formats I've found, even the flv files you get from youtube.
Another great thing is it plays dvds from different region codes without affecting the built in region control of my dvd drive and player software. The only problem is sometimes the picture quality of mpeg/avi files isn't as good as on other players but I probably just need to try out the different deinterlace options til I find one that works.

The media players that i use now are:
Windows Media Player Classic - with realplayer plugin to play .rm files
Nero showtime - for good quality video and movies coz it renders graphics with the help of ur graphic card. very smooth
VLC player - for everything else including .flv

I prefer VLC Media Player as well. I used to be a fan of GOM Player for some time, but recently it was getting flimsy on me, but it is a popular download hitting the top 20 list on www.download.com
