I cam across a dicussion with one of my co-workers and she was telling me that she has never told her children that there was a Santa Clause becasue you are makeing it seem as if it is ok to lie. She does have a point because when your child finds out that there is really no Santa they world comes crashing down. I have 6 year old twins and now I am wondering if it was right to tell the that there is a Santa, Tooth Fairy, and Easter Bunny. What do you thin on this subject. Should we lie to our children? Now she got me wondering!!! HELP!

My parents never told my sister and I that Santa Claus was real. They believed if they lied to us as young children, we would be less likely to be believe them later on. And I'm glad they did that. But it isn't an awful thing to LET your kids believe in Santa. It won't damage them long term. And parents are in no way bad for letting their kids believe in it. It's a personal parental choice.
