I used today as one of my weekly days off since I'm only working part time this summer.
With the help of my 19 year old son, I rearranged our master bedroom furniture, shampooed the carpet gave everything a thorough cleaning.
I also sat down and wrote my daily devotional.
I think I'm ready to go back to work...to rest.
What did you do today?

Nothing too interesting yet today, but in a few minutes I am going to walk over to the groccery store and get some stuff, get some money out of the nearby Bank Of America ATM, and then walk over to the cafe next to the groccery store and ATM, and have a really good cup of coffee, while reading a Reader's Digest.

I hope that you had a cup for me. I started to make a pot when I got to work this morning and then realized that I would be the only one in the office today. I just didn't want to drink the whole pot, and I would have if it were there.

I am trying really hard to cut down on caffiene. I'm down to one coke and one cup of coffee per day. i am thinking that I may have to drink a little more, as I am feeling a bit shaky today. I think when I cut my consumtion down more, that i went too low too fast yesterday.

I am quite jealous that you have even part of your Christmas shopping done. I bought several packages of embroidery floss and some tea towels and bread basket covers on an after Christmas sale last December, and I was going to have some lovely counted cross stitch done before the holidays. HA

I overslept, and did some myLot, and bought some food my husband needed, because he has to eat high potassium foods. He had leg cramps all night because of the fact he has been out of his bananas and the gatorade he usually drinks in the summer because he sweats out so much potassium and other minerals. I had a job interview, to determine if I want to change jobs within our school district. I went to work, and I was not supposed to be there.I went to the library and spent an hour and a half there. I will go rearrange some furniture myself in a minute.

He and I both have some medical training and that is how we have pinpointed what works for him. Not only can low potassium cause strokes, and mess up your heart rhythms, cause muscle spasms and seizure like activity. I have seen that in nursing homes. Because he has started paying attention he has not had to go to the ER in the last couple of summers. We figured it out for ourselves, they just always ran tests, billed us, and said they wanted to watch him.

It's good that you are watching him and not letting it go too low. We were completely unaware that low potassium could do all those things until it was too late with my mom. Thankfully, the stroke was mild, and she is now back to doing most things on her own. She's even driving again!

Oh friend, you had better be careful with his potassium levels. My mother had that problem a few years ago, and it caused her to have a stroke! She is now on daily potassium suppliments, which I'm thankful for, because she hasn't had another mini-stroke since she started on them.

I hope that you're headache is better. I am praying for you right now that the MRI will show what the doctor's need to know to be able to treat what is causing your headaches. I know how truly debilitating they can be to the rest of your body!

I hate when that happens. It just seems to ruin your whole day when you start it off running late. I've done that more times in my 40 years than I care to count, and it is just the pits anyway you look at it.
Hope the rest of the week was better.

Today is one another routine work day for me. I should say, there was a lot of work to be done for me today than the regular day.
Even after that, I feel to login to Mylot and do the posting because I feel refreshed when I do that in Mylot.

lol! typical 'day off' aye? I'm babysitting my granddaughter, as she's off for the summer, and gramma's her sitter. I did some gardening this morning before it got too hot! And now that it's afternoon, I'm trying to figure out if I should turn on the air conditioning.. or will the fans keep it tolerable? Hate to turn it on! Once it's on it's hard to turn it off, but if it's going to get too hot, those coming home from work will love to have it on! Guess I'll check the indoor temperature! hmmm, it's now 76 indoors.. and rising? The only other exciting thing I did today, was help my granddaughter clean her room!
- I also got in on some atheist/faith debating online..

Glad you are getting to spend time with your granddaughter. I know from experience that someday she will cherish those times.
Some of my favorite childhood memories are my grandmother's teaching me to cook and bake.

Take care of yourself. Make time for yourself. Those are the two pieces of advice I will give you. The rest will work out. Cherish every step and every memory, because it will seem like a blink of an eye, and they'll be 20 years old with a life of their own.

After being sick all weekend I went to work today. I tried to stay away from my client, keep my hands clean, wipe down any serface I might've touched & was careful to not breath on things.
I did set up a mamogram apt for tomorrow this morning and talked to my mom this afternoon when she called wanting me to go by.
I told mom that I was sick & didn't want to come by while I was still so sick. I think she understood that. I'll have to go on Weds, but that gives me another day to recover & have the antibiotics work.

It appears that what lauren had last week was some kind of summer virus, because now her brother has it, and I am fighting it. I'm weak and have a horrible headache. My ears are filled with fluid. This is the bits. How did your mamogram go?

I'm glad you've gotten some medication and you seem to be on the road to recovery. Being sick is the pits. I hate it for myself, and those that I care about. My daughter, the youngest of my children has been fighting a migraine headache for several days. i think probably because she's just worn out.

I'm taking this week off work as sort of a "mental health week" as I've been calling it. I don't get paid vacation from work or anything... so I haven't had off in like..3 years. So I'm taking a much needed and long overdue break!
Today my cat woke me up early wondering why I wasn't waking up for work and wanting me to get up and not be late for work. he's silly and totally thrown off if I don't stick to my usual schedule. I love him.
So I got up early..I'm reading the last harry potter book so I can stop avoiding all discussion about it! I'm determined to have it finished by tomorrow...i started it sunday morning! but I'm not like most people who can just sit and read till it's done.
I had made this list of all these things I wanted cause I wanted to do some re-arranging for my computer area and desk and my fridge and under the sink, plus I needed groceries. Idiotically I left without my list so I just grabbed the things I remembered I wanted from wal-mart...groceries and a few things for the sink/kitchen.
Came home...put stuff away cleaned up a little and then crossed off what I have on the list...still need so much!
Ate dinner... and just continuing to read HP.
I hope to accomplish some good stuff while I'm off, but really I'm just resting and relaxing.

I do the Walmart thing all the time. I have been known to drive up there to get one thing, endup spending more money than what I intended and getting home without the one item I meant to purchase in the first place. Ever done that?

ryanmor...I'm so jealous! You have a hammock? Please, lie in it and look up at the trees and pretend you're me for a couple of hours would you?
One of my favorite memories from childhood is going to see my grandparents and Grandpa laying in his hammock in the back yard!

Today started out very productive but in the end.. whew tiringly boring!
*LOL*
I wanted to do so much today. But ended up with things not going as they are supposed to.
The highlight for today was meeting my online friend once again online. He was the first guy who made my heart beat 5years ago, never thought it would be possible but he did. He got news this afternoon telling me he had gotten married. It was sort of a mixed feeling for me, but I was just curious why deep down inside, I was hurting. Did it mean I was inlove still? I am with someone right now, and he's great. But I guess love don't die down fast. I guess no matter how we have supposedly 'moved on', there are things that can't be denied.
I have also decided to stop talking to him altogether. Didn't want confusion in my mind and heart for he has someone and I have someone too. I know he didn't understand why I decided for it to end that way. But I have my reasons, and those reasons are pretty valid for me.
But honestly, the thought made me feel like crying. But hey, there's no point in crying over spilled milk. I'm just glad he took the chance of finally loving someone and taking the next step ~ something he could never do with me.

Laydee, I think you made the right decision. To me one of the hardest things of life would be to be in love with two men! I had to (fully) let go of a memory years ago.. in order to move forward in my marriage.. and boy am I glad I did! Though it was sad at first..
- I realized I had to choose love each day, and rather than deny it..

Wow, I'm not sure what to say. My brother packed his things and moved out on his wife and children yesterday. I was kind of sad about this, because he just would rather be out drinking than home with his kids. So sad.
I do believe that God has someone out there for all of us. I pray that you will find yours soon.

Yeah you guys are right.
I actually talked to my partner about this one last night. Couldn't help but feel guilty for having 'hurt feelings' for someone in the past. He laughed. He laughed because he couldn't do anything but trusts me. He was joking me that maybe I had loved that guy more than him because the residue of love is still in my heart. But he said, it's ok, he is a little bit jealous but he knows that maybe I'm just being a baby and wanted a good hug and great kiss from him (my partner) to keep my worries away.
I just realized last night how much I love my partner. Yeah that guy was part of my life, but he was not the greater part ~ he was just a guy who never was willing to fight for me.
We have endured a lot of trials ~ my partner and I. And last night I realized he loves me so much and finds my weakness cute. *LOL*
I'm glad I told him instead of keeping it inside me.

Next week, I go back to 5 days a week and getting ready for the kids to come back to school. Unlike the teachers, the administrative offices don't close during the summer months. We work year round. We did work shortened hours, which did give me some time to spend with my girls.

oh,today i got up so early. we're developing a new manufacture system these days, so every day there's lots of thing to do. One of my team members just had sleeped for 6 hours last night, so i'm not the most hard-working man, although it's still very boring. I agree that pressuere can make work more effective, but if i can have more than 3 days rest once a week, the life will be better.

I feel very proud today! I finished writing something for Mylot and it is the first time I publish something in more than two months! I could not copy and paste what I had written, as I have not reached the 500 mark yet, so it took me a long time to do, but it was worth it! I hope to continue writing something on a regular basis again now!

Uhh..and what time are we eating?
Did you cook the ribs in the oven, on the stove or did you take the time to grill them. They are, in my lowly opinion, so much better when they are slathered in barbecue sauce and put on the outdoor grill. mmm. I think I can taste them.

I am recuperating from a long trip my husband and I had to take yesterday. No, this trip was not for pleasure. It was for checking my mother-in-laws house that is about 2 1/2 hours from where we live. She doesn't live there anymore. She is now living with my sis-in-law in Arkansas. Dad-in-law passed away about a year ago and we got news that the neighbors were looting the place. There was so much stuff taken.
The good news is, is that we may be able to get most of it back. Our niece should be able to confront them and get them to give back most of it.
We will see though.

Where in Arkansas does your sister in law live? Perhaps when you come to see her, if it's close, we could have a cup of coffee or a meal. I'd like that. We could invite Christine and have a mylot party!

That sounds like so much fun. I love to swim! We have a water park near us, and we bought our family season tickets so that we could all go on our days and evenings off and have fun as a family. My youngest daughter is employed there.
