How long should a couple wait to have kids?

I just wanted someones opinion on how long a married couple should wait until they have kids? I feel you should wait at least 2 to 3 years! I personally waited for a little over a year but I didn't have to alone time with my husband before the baby and now it is kinda hard. So tell me what do you think?

Couples should wait until they're both reay to become parents, as it is a big decision to make. The more financially secure a couple is, the better. Also, some may decide to not have any, and realize that's an actualy option. You don't have to kids. It's not a law. Some may prefer to adopt because there are so many unwanted children in this world, and they want to help out. Whatever their decision, be supportive. Some times it's all in the support system that the couple has in place as well.

Sometimes you don't have a choice. I would have loved to have waited at least 3 years but things happened for my husband and I. We have a wonderful one year old boy. I had him just 6 months after we were married. We didn't get any time of just "us." I really hate that fact but I really love my son. I wouldn't change it for anything but I really wish we had that time. We'll at least get it later in life when our son is older (and however many other kids we have) and has left the house. I'm glad we had a child young, but it's still very hard.
