Can't say...Its too early to comment on it.
This free hit has surely been successful in domestic competitions. I personally think, its no harm to try this idea, its always good to see some change. lets hope it works, if it doesn't then they this rule will be terminated...
So, no harm in trying and see what changes brings to ODI cricket...

well, as a batsman it's good decision to allow free hit after a no-ball in odis' because batsman have chance to increase his runs, and also team runs.
as a bowler it's bad decision to allow fre hit. because fielding team will loose runs in that bowl.
and as a player its wrong decision. because for that decision bowler will be bowl under pressure. and he will be lost his line and lenght. so dont put more pressure on bowler. and remove this decision.

It would be one of the most awful decisions if ever be made.. Yes, worse than the supersub..
It puts a great pressure on the bowler and imagine if the last ball happens to be a noball in a humdinger of an ODI, then the entire interest in the game is killed and brings in a kinda resignation in bowlers..It's already a batsman's game, why do you wanna throw more jellybeans at bowlers???
I hardly understand how the game's administrators could bring in such stupid rules..

in one day cricket, why people come to grounds is to see runs scored, and that too through sixes and fours, i agree that the one day game is already tilted hugely in favour of batsman, and this new no ball rule is only going to increae it.... but over all i think the rule will increase the entertainment value of the game for a casual viewer. After all cricket cannot survive without its viewers! The bowlers might put in more time to eliminate no balls from their deliveris which i think will be good for the game. So i kinda tend to accept this new change. Yeah its harsh on the bowler, but we are only telling them not to overstep for just 10 overs maximum!

i don't think it is a good decision as the game will become more batsmen friendly.. as now also with 2 powerplays in action, batsmen have more liberty and the bowlers get punished...
