Do you enjoy cooking with kids??? I tend to get really stressed out while cooking with my kids. They get so impatient or try to rush me. So it spoils what should be a good time. Do you have any tips on how to make cooking with my kids more enjoyable??

Dry spaghetti - have your kids break this into bite sized pieces to help with cooking and keep them busy.
What types of things are you cooking with them? And how old are they? maybe you could make things that are more "instant" as apposed to things that take longer to cook. What about salads, wrap sandwiches or instant puddings? Also, maybe you could give them a job to do in the cooking process that will keep them busy for a while so you can be more realxed about the other part of the process. My mom used to make a pasta dish that required the spaghetti being broken up into small spoon size pieces. This has to be done by hand and it was often my and my sisters job. It might not seem like it, but breaking up an entire box of spaghetti into spoon size pieces can be very time consuming.

Well we have tried making cookies and breads and cakes. We have made puddings and jello which went well. I find it alot easier when we cook thinks like chili etc when theres just a bunch of cans of things to throw into the pot. I will definately keep your suggestions in mind. Sounds like your mom was a smart cookie! Thanks for your help. Happy posting!
