which corn do you prefer?

I have not ever grown corn, but I have heard a lot of discussion about sweet corn varieties. Do you ever read Mother Earth News? I did at the library yesterday. There was a mini article about how to eat sweet corn all winter, how to store it, and they are asking readers to try it, and to report back. You might be a good candidate. It involve pulling whole stalks and hanging them in an unheated storage building. You might enjoy reading it.

Theres nothing better than a good corn roast and of course has has to be a sweet corn variety and peaches n cream is the top. Boiled and dipped in melted butter mmmmmmm good.

I really like corn on the cob! I think it is really good and I like the flavor!

I love Peaches and Cream too but when I can't get it,I buy the yellow and add sugar....it tastes just like Peaches and Cream if you add the right amount

I eat all kinds of corn,I love to get fresh corn from the graden and steam it.Fix it with butter in is good,I can almost taste it now.

i eat corn, i just dont bother what kind it is,.. its the one you can buy from a mall with butter, is it japanese sweet corn, i'm not sure

I love fiesta corn: yellow corn stewed slowly with diced red and green peppers & lotsa butter...mmmmmmm yummy.

Well my fav is candy corn!:oD Ok to be serious, I like yellow corn better than cream corn. I think it's cause corn on the cob is so great with the salt, pepper and butter, the cream corn just can't do it for me. Hubby and the girls, now they LOVE cream corn. I can't ever fix enough for them. LOL

Peaches and Cream? OK—I eat bread and butter corn- It’s the yellow and white- That is what we call it here anyways- Isn’t it funny how there are many different names for the same thing- I though the only yellow corn was field corn for the animals- and that is why it’s so tough- Just what I thought.

Actually, ever since my hubby introduced me to field corn, I prefer that over sweet corn. If it's picked at just the right time, can be sweeter than sweet corn. Come to think of it, I need to do some checking to see if it's ready to pick yet. Also, if you like to grill your sweet corn, try adding alot of sugar to the water you soak the ears in and soak it overnight, then grill them. My bro did that last weekend for the b-day party they threw for my niece and it was heaven.

I like the peaches and cream corn on the cob barbarqued. YUM. I also like corn that is frozed then cooked in the micowave.

I am with you, I love the peaches and cream corn! The yellow corn is ok, but when buying it from some of the farmers in our town, we know where the ones with the peaches and cream corn set to sell it, and that is where I go first. If they are not there, then I will just buy the yellow corn and be kind of dull.

I love corn too! I eat any kinds like those big sweet corns. Really delicious!

yes i love corn so much specially the Japanese corn..yellow one..if i can eat a lot of corn i will coz i never get tired eating it..its just tasty for me specially if it comes with butter and salt..i eat the white one too and your right its sweet.

I'm definately with you on the peaches and cream corn - it tastes really good and sweet. Although I will eat yellow corn, it just has to be smothered in butter. My grandfather used to grow corn in his garden. I loved having fresh corn on the cob - I miss that :)

We only get two types of corn around here, one is butter and sugar corn, which is a mix of white and yelloe and silver queen corn which is all white. I like the silver queen best but will take either...lol.
