What is the best digital still camera on the market?

I have a Sony cybershot W5 and it struggles a little in low lighting, which means it lets me down!
Can anyone recommend a good, resonably priced camera?

I have worked for sony, specifically with their digital imaging line for two years..if your dsc-w5 is not producing good pics, have you tried calling it in? the number is 800-222-sony (7669)..i'm sure they will give you steps to improve it..But if its really broken I suggest you really buy a new one, since its so expensive to get it repaired once its out of warranty.
My colleagues at work buy canon for their own personal use. (Good thing I've resigned, I can tell you things like these) You can also try reading up reviews of newer cameras at dpreview.com. Buying a new camera needs research, just to make your new one fit your needs. Goodluck! :)

Thanks so much for your reply, it was really useful! To be honest, I have heard that other people have had this issue with this model - its definitely time to updrade but I wouldnt think twice about staying with SonY!
