Amy Lee Epilepsy Campaign - Out of the Shadows

Thank you for posting this link. I had not heard of Amy or her cause. Great to know about it. In 1963 I had my first seizure at the age of 23. No cause was determined. Being young and because the seizures were not a personal thing with me I did not follow the medication as prescribed until I reached the age of 30. I had several episodes during that time. However once I began following doctors orders I have been seizure free. That was 1970. While not all people are this fortunate many can be if they just follow orders. I am 66 and other than having a hearing loss I seem to be fine. Amy is right.....a person can live a normal life with this problem and we do need to make people aware of what it really is. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for posting this. Not only do I love Amy Lee and her misic but now I have great respect for her. My 4 year old has epilepsy coupled with a few other medical problems and I think what she is doing to bring awareness to this disorder is wonderful!
