Do we get paid less if we post more?

Recently, I noticed that I got a pretty nice amount of money after only posting seven discussions, but my payment went down dramatically after I had posted 20 discussions. It's possible that some of the discussions I posted didn't get any responses, so that could explain the lower payment. I am not sure. In some forums there's a limit to the amount of discussions that you can post daily before they stop paying. For instance, there was one other forum that only allowed members to post 20 discussions daily before they stopped paying out. Does anyone know if that is true here at My Lot? Do they have a limit on paid discussions daily? I am interested in posting 50 to 100 discussions daily for pay so that I can increase my earnings at My Lot. But, if the earnings go down the more I post, then I really can't see a reason to post more. If anyone has information on this, please let me know.

I don't know how they decide what to pay a person. There are some days that I average 5 or 6 cents per post, and other days when it's more like 1 or 2 cents. I really don't know how they decide. If I was you, I would just do however many discussions you feel like you can do comfortably. Some days you will probably get paid pretty well for them, and other days, maybe not so well. There's really no guessing as to what days will be good days for you, though. It just fluctuates too much.

I've noticed that too. And, that figure sounds right from my experience. Yesterday I tried something a little different. Keep track of your number (next to your username) from the beginning of the day and then see what it is the next day. That will tell you how many discussions were deleted and how many you were paid for. However that number usually goes down by the end of the month somewhat as they delete discussions from earlier in the month. That is what I have found anyway. It doesn't happen to everyone.

I really don't think there is a cap on the number of post you make here. I have noticed to that the more I do respond the less I get.

I have absolutely no idea sweety! At least I am honest though huh? lol I don't know about how many discussions you are supposed to start but I think if you post too many you may find the number of responses you get going down - only my opinion sweety but if I were you I wouldn't post too many! xxx

I have noticed that too! Some days I have more time than ohters and I post discussions and respond to as many as possible. I notice that on those days I barely get one cent per discussion/response no matter how long or in detail they are! Other days I post very few responses and start maybe just one discussion and my earnings are much higher than the day before. I don't understand the rating system or why they cheat you for actually using the website!

Okay that is just really scary! If I post more and they pay me less, doesn't that just defeat the purpose of me being here?!! I've been posting a lot today so I'll see how things go tomorrow morning. I think the most money I've ever made in one day was about 35 cents and I must have spent like 4 hours here. Mylot oh mylot..... where has your love for your members gone!

Post more discussions of your own! I promise you, that is where the money is. It's nice to respond to friends discussions, but don't expect a lot of money. Most times I make one cent from each response I give. Not much money. However whenever I post a good discussion, the pay is way more. I get paid more if the discussions get lots of responses and usually the longer discussions pay well. Avoid the one liner discussions, those get deleted or no pay. Hope that helps. Hope you can stick around my lot for awhile. It's always fun when you're around.

Who knows whats going on with the payments here...there is no set amount for anything that we do on here. So anyone could have a guess and no one would know the answer..

Dear beautyqueen26, I do agree with you it happens sometime when I post more than 20 posts I did not get the regular earning for the post I made. It had happened one or two times otherwise I am getting the money for my effort. Since we do not know how the calculation is done by Mylot we cannot say anything on this subject.

Interesting obsevation! I don't know and I have totally given up figuring out how many posts would make a nice pay around here. I do noticed that I am generally paid less since last month even though I am doing the same amount of posts everyday. I admit that I am not very motivated to be around here all the time anymore and I only come here a couple days a week now. I know if I come less, then my earnings would still be minimal too but I can't help feeling frustrated everytime when I log in.

I know what you mean, I am not sure about how many posts you can make in a day, but there are days when I just have time for a couple and it seems that I get more money than if I post quite a few. I don't really understand it all, but I have fun on this site and have gathered a lot of useful info, so I don't really pay a whole lot of attention. The money is just an added bonus! Sorry I can't help more.

Actually it sounds strange. In fact I don't really know how Mylot counts about our payment. Maybe they pay for you according to the quality of your posts. Sometimes I can't even figure out why they pay me so more or less.

I honestly can't help you with that, because I usually post responses to no more than 4 or 5 discussions per day... but I don't think there's a limit to what you post, maybe your first posts where more inspired, hehehe

Hello beautyqueen26, Nobody knows exactly how My Lot calculates our earnings here. It happened to me once where I only responded to three discussions and posted three lengthy discussions and had the biggest earning per day on that particular day. These few days, I could see that my earnings is being cut into halves compare to last time with the same amount of discussions. Some say that when you post more discussions, you will earn more compare to when you respond to more discussions. I don't know whether it is true or not. A member discussed about how he got paid pretty good for just responded to a discussion (with a lengthy response) and gave comments to others who responded to his own discussions and earned more than usual. It seems that till now, nobody really knows how it works!

Check the FAQ where it says 'Why do my earnings fluctuate' There are a bunch of reasons in there. I can't copy and paste the answer for you but its all in there. I hope this helps.
