I come from a culture where usually children go on their own only after getting married or maybe to study but that too mostly is taken care of by their parents, they aren't expected to be on their own totally. So, I got married when I was 24 and me and my husband went to a different city and started our life together, all by ourselves. He already had a job, I got one.

I moved out of my family's home when I was 20 years old, and into an apartment downtown, where I lived for five years. I still have the apartment, and I'm deciding what to do with it. I'm now engaged to be married, and we're still deciding whether we want to live in Canada, where I'm from, or down here in the USA, where he is.
