Has a stranger done something nice for you lately? Ever?

I was at the grocery store on the weekend, unsuccessfully fishing for a quarter for shopping cart when a stranger came up and gave me his cart. I happened to find a quarter just after he gave his cart to me and offered it to him but he refused and left.
A small gesture but it made my day. :)
Has anyone had a stranger go out of their way to help? Have you ever helped a perfect stranger expecting nothing in return?

I was in a new place to pick something up when the strap on my sandals snapped. Somebody saw me, invited me to her house and gave me slippers to use. I can never forget about that; I am so grateful, really!

Aw! That's nice. I always enjoy hearing these little stories about people being generous. It's def. a vacation from hearing how horrible people are! =P hehe.
Let's see...right now I can't think of anything specific that anyone has done for me, or I for them. But I do try to do small things; if I'm walking by people and one happens to look at me while I'm looking at them I smile, "a smile goes a long way!" :) And I try to be courtious; letting people who have been waiting a long time go, slowing down for lane changers, etc. Just any little things I can do.
If I think about it I might be able to come back to this post and have a more specific event! :)
Oh wait! Here's a thing. When I go to PetSmart to get crickets for a lizard I rescued the last two guys that got me them gave me extras free of charge! :) That always makes me smile! :) hehe

My ex-roomate had an iguana and i used to pick up crickets for him on the way home from work. There was one clerk who always gave me extra. That always made me feel great, too!

Yeah, it's nice when people do things like that. I know crickets aren't expensive, but it is still saving me money everytime they do that for me (so far between the two of them they gave me extra crickets on 3 seperate occasions). I always hope to attract their attention first, because I like the extra crickets! hehe.

Thanks for sharing, I am glad that there are still people willing to make small and big gestures. I am happy that your daughter got new shoes.

This very week, there are six perfect strangers from all over the USA painting my house for me. They aren't receiving any type of monetary compensation. Actually, they paid for the "privilege" of helping someone in need. They are part something called Group Workcamps. They have spent two days here so far, and are the most wonderful group of people. I know this sounds trite, but they have truly renewed my faith in humanity. God bless them, every one.

Hi!Life is full of surprises. When we least expect something,it suddenly crops up from some corner & makes our day.On the other day, I was walking in the corridor & Icould see no one around. Suddenly my walking stick came in middle & i lost my balance & thought Iam finished for suddenly it went all dark for me, but to my surprise before I could fall,2 strong arms caught me &I was safe.I thanked this person for the Kind gesture & GOD bless him for the timely help.

That I can remember I have never had a stranger help me out, but I have helped several strangers out. I've helped, people I hadn't previously met before, out with moving into their home. I've helped disabled persons in the grocery store when something is just out of their reach. Plus a number of other things.

I think karma will reward you, even if strangers don't reciprocate!
