firefox vs. internet explorer

As we all know internet explorer is product of microsoft and firefox of mozilla. Through recent years there has been some arguement on which is better. we know that internet explorer holds a big chunk of the market share with over 70% to only 30 percent for firefox. In recent years firefos is getting more popular it seems like everyone knows about it now but do you think it can beat microsoft's internet explorer? Whats your preference?
