Do You Use Your Blog To Get Refferals To Your Money Making Programs?

Personally, I've found it to be a very effective way of getting refferals, especially to PTR sites and the like.
I have a blog entitled "Earning Online: Triumphs and Tragedies" in which I describe my experiences with a variety of programs (really need to get in there and update it lol). I put the link to the blog in my profile here at myLot and so far I've had quite alot of success getting referrals through it.
I tried all those link exchange sites but never had any luck...
What have you found to be the most effective method of generating referrals?

I have tried including links and swaping for referrals and adding them in discussions and that kind of thing. But It has not been very successful. I have recently started a blog with the sites I use. More or less it is just a site where I kind of organized all the sites I used. It is my first attempt at a blog. So I am still trying to improve it. But since I have started the blog, I have noticed on some of my sites an extra referral or two so I guess even though it is new my blog has been the most successful.
