I just wanna know, I'm trying to encourage my husband to be a multi tasker too cause I told him not to waste time but he said he cannot do things right,he need to focus on one task at a time.
I am a multi tasker and though sometimes I have loopholes I still parctice it everyday specially in the office. I'm doing e-mails while on the phone, writing notes while answering queries from my boss..etc..
How about you? how good are you in this? please do share tips too.

I was multi-tasking before they started calling it that. I have always believed in getting as much done at one time as possible.
If I know that I am going to be on a call that requires me to be on hold for an extended period of time. I will throw a load in the laundry, make the call, and while I am on hold, I will post on Mylot.
Now, I will be honest, if something requires me to be all there, I can't do anything else. For instance, once the person comes to the phone, everything else stops and that person gets my undivided attention.
Everyone is not able to multi-task at all. One of my former doctors had to have complete silence when he would write in his notes, or write a prescription. If I started to speak, he would ask me to wait until he was done, because he did not want to make a mistake.
We have all heard the saying, Do you want it fast or do you want it right? People have to be able to work at the pace that they are comfortable with and you have to be patient and respect them for wanting to get it right the first time.

Some ppl just can't multi-task no matter how hard they try to. Depending on what I'm doing, I either can or can't multi-task. For instance, I can't drive and talk on the phone at the same time cause my mind is on the road, not on the person at the other end of the phone call. Therefore, I either have to pull over or tell them I'll call them back later when I'm not driving. However, I can fold/band/bag newspapers and drive at the same time. That's something I have stumped many ppl on how I can do that. lol

I can multi task but if it goes on too much, or too many things at once, it makes me a little crazy!:)

I am a multitasker but i can't say that i do everything right all the time. Smtimes things do go wrong. But i can manage multiple tasks at the same time. Like reading newspaper and simultaneously guiding my younger brother on how to work on the computer. Even in college, i do mutitasking. I guide my friends on sm or the other issues while i m busy reading sm novel. So, it has become some sort of a habit for me to multitask all the time...

I think I am a multi tasker just around the home when I am doing housework. I will be tidying up one room and then I will go into another room and start on something else. Quite often I find myself going from room to room.

I do things as many as I can, just like what I am doing right now.. Posting on mylot, while cooking at the same time.
I believe that it depends on what chores or duties we do, we also now how to handle and maintain the job well for it to lead in a better outcome. Mulit-tasking can really help us in our everyday lives, we just have to be more ready in facing all the tasks that are assigned to us.

I can not remember where I read it, but I think that a study, LOL stated that we could get more done, if we did it one at a time.
