I am skeptical to believe it is true. Why not just drop an email to Yahoo admin? It would be interesting to hear their reply :P
Just for fun, there is no harm to try to claim the money. If they ask for personal details, or bank account, just be careful NOT to give. I am sure they will ask for lots of more information.... a sign of their sincerity :P

Sorry to burst your bubble, but it is. If I won all the money they keep telling me with Yahoo Mail, I would be rich. Yahoo, emailed me and told me it was.

Hi Weemam, I get those letter at least 4 times a month, and I answer them saying I am thrilled to learn of my good fortune, and because there are others that are less fortunate than I am I am donating the entire amount to (charity name) and give their full address and tell them I expect to hear from my charity of the money being deposited in their account. So far zero has been sent. I also send a copy of my reply to the RCMP (federal police) and tell the people emailing me I am sending a copy. Funny I never get a reply never.

Sure a spam I am receiving two every month. Just do one thing put that address in the spam list and contact help center in yahoo services to inform them about this. Because they are also using the yahoo address so yahoo will block them automatically and also will support the authorities to track the users who do this kind of activities with the help of the internet scam busters.
Also inform those mail services from whom you have received this kind of mail.

You got spammed. If I could get 1/2 of the money that I was told I had won via spam, I would be among the richest in the world.

Yes indeed weehun this is most definitely spam, Just do yourself a favour and delete it. I've received this email several times in recent times in my yahoo and EVEN hotmail accounts which made me laugh. Why would yahoo award someone's hotmail account with a prize? LOL! xx

It's definitely a scam. Once you have received any scam emails, it means the scammers know your email address. You will probably receive further scam emails. It is recommended that you bookmark www.scamomatic.com in your web browser for this will help check the email you received if it is a scam or not.

My guess is it is spam. Would be nice to have that much money though wouldn't it? Is there anyway you can forward it on to the server as spoof email and let them let you know? I know with aol, ebay and paypal you can forward on spoof@ then which ever it is you are wantint to check it if it come from them. I hope my reply didn't mess you up, I can't really word it like I was hoping to.

Obviously its a 100% scam just imagine a company like Yahoo could launch a campaign for such a huge prize of 820,000$ to its users and we have not heard of it from anywhere but they do send us an surprising mail .....
but thanks you have warned the other users who have no idea about differentiating the scams so they might be aware of it ........
